“Didihood (or the sisterhood) is a collective of South Asian women in creative industries across Canada spanning from the media to music, film, visual arts and more. We aim to encourage our Didis to pursue their creative passions, support one another, and encourage the next generation of Didis to do the same.
Our goal is to create networking and mentorship opportunities for South Asian creatives in cities like Toronto and Vancouver, lead workshops for university and college students to expand their skill set, and hear from inspirational South Asian women through panels and a monthly Q&A in our newsletter. We also want to create a sense of community among our members — ideally creating new friendships among sisters.”
